There are no regulations or standards for airborne concentration of mold or mold spores in the home. The health department can only offer advice and give information to private residents. For rental properties we must advise to contact your County Attorney or Attorney General for information on tenant-landlord laws.​
The health department does not inspect, test, remediate, or have any enforcement authority related to mold infestation.
Mold is found both indoors and outdoors. There is no practical way to eliminate all mold and mold spores in the indoor environment. The only way to control indoor mold growth is to control moisture. Learn more here.
