Peer Counselors are another benefit of being on WIC. They are women who have breastfed their babies and are trained to help other women learn to breastfeed. They provide support at local WIC clinics where you can share your stories with other moms and find solutions to problems. Peer counselors also help pregnant and newly breastfeeding moms one-on-one and sometimes even make home or hospital visits.
